While ISO 9001 and 14001 are currently in the Draft International Standard (DIS) phase and moving quickly, ISO 45001 is on a slightly later timeline. The revision process for the occupational health and safety (OH&S) standard has officially begun, but the final version, likely to be titled ISO 45001:2027 is expected in early 2027.

The 2026 revision is designed to shift ISO 14001 from being a "process-focused" standard to a "results-oriented" strategic tool, specifically addressing the global environmental crises that have intensified since the last update in 2015.

The ISO 9001 standard is currently undergoing its first major revision since 2015. The update, which will be titled ISO 9001:2026, is currently in the Draft International Standard (DIS) phase and is expected to be published in late 2026.
